Description

In the webinar on June 25th, Zefanja and Thirza will guide you through the assessment of symmetry in horses. How can you recognize symmetry and asymmetry in posture and movement? What should you look for during an assessment, and what can it tell you about the way a horse moves and functions?

What can you expect?

Using practical assessment criteria, we will explore how to evaluate symmetry in both the horse’s body and movement.

We will also discuss the influence of asymmetry on performance, training, and welfare, while paying attention to the distinction between normal biological variation and asymmetry that may affect the horse’s function and movement. Finally, we will discuss how to apply this knowledge in practice.

→ How to identify asymmetry in the horse’s body and movement
→ Which landmarks and assessment points are important during an evaluation
→ What asymmetry can reveal about a horse’s function and movement patterns
→ How asymmetry can affect movement, balance, and training
→ How to use your observations to make more informed training decisions
