As a child, Zefanja always felt a connection with horses, and that connection has never faded. Promoting the well-being of these beautiful animals is her greatest motivation. How does she do that? She turns the horse inside out.
With her background as a freestyle trainer, haptotherapist, and coach, she has also mastered many equine therapies. She is knowledgeable in acupressure, bone therapy, aromatherapy, red light therapy, and moxa therapy.
In 2013, she met Dr. Sharon May-Davis in the Netherlands. Zefanja watched Sharon's passion for her work and was captivated by her knowledge and love for horses. From 2014 to 2018, she and Sharon published several articles.
Zefanja learned the art of dissecting and building skeletons directly from Dr. Sharon May-Davis herself. Together, they also conducted research on genetic abnormalities in domesticated horses compared to primitive horses.
In the meantime, Zefanja organizes courses and training with a team of expert professionals, travels all over the world and regularly gives (online) guest lectures.
Zefanja is known to a wide audience as "The Dutch Bone Lady." That's a huge compliment, of course.
Zefanja’s unique expertise can be leveraged in various ways to enhance your organization, event, or training program. Would you like to invite Zefanja for a lecture, interview, or something completely different? Explore the possibilities below.
Want to learn more from Zefanja? Book her for an inspiring lecture at your event on anatomy, biomechanics, or the relationship between physical and behavioral aspects.
Bring her on board as a guest lecturer to provide your students with the most up-to-date, dissection-based knowledge of the horse’s body.
Offer your target audience an unforgettable and insightful experience. Zefanja can provide a complete or thematic (partial) dissection, tailored to your needs.
“With a suitcase full of knowledge, I travel the world and show the horse from the inside out. My mission is to bridge the gap between anatomy textbooks and reality.
Only when we truly understand the inner workings of a horse can we offer the horse the care, training and well-being it deserves.”
